It is aptly sad that the regulators of the Nigerian food and drugs industry should allow the production of 1000 milligrams of paracetamol in one capsule or tablet when it is no hidden knowledge that consuming paracetamol in large quantities is fatal. The aim for establishing a regulatory body is to make sure that pharmaceutical companies play according to established rules and international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Dumping paracetamol on Nigeria is a crime that should be stopped immediately. The benefits are so little while the danger is enormous.
