Car enthusiasts celebrate auto exhibition, excellence at Eko Drive
The third edition of Eko Drive, an exclusive automotive exhibition, has dazzled car enthusiasts with a stunning display of automotive excellence.
The event featured a curated collection of vintage classics, modern supercars, and power bikes, solidifying Nigeria’s growing status as a hub for supercar culture and automotive innovation.
The founder of Eko Drive, Ademide Osunshina, highlighted the significance of this year’s showcase, saying, “Eko Drive is more than just an exhibition; it is about creating a community among automotive enthusiasts through unique events. We are committed to showcasing not just supercars but also the innovations that will shape the future of transportation in Nigeria.”
Osunshina added that future editions of the event would include private exhibitions and fundraisers, emphasizing a family-oriented approach.
“This event is more like a family-oriented gathering, where everyone can come together to celebrate their passion for automobiles responsibly,” he noted.
He added that the success of Eko Drive underscores the event’s ability to unite car lovers, promote safety and shine a spotlight on Nigeria’s automotive potential. As the exhibition continues to grow, its influence on the local and regional car culture is undeniable.
Also, a co-founder, Sanjo Morgan, mentioned another key figure in the event, and echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of responsibility within the automotive community.
“Something more about Eko Drive is that you’ll never see us promoting reckless behaviour. Today, we even have representatives from the Federal Road Safety Corps educating attendees about the dangers of drunk driving.
“We are about promoting cars, enjoying your cars, and having fun but doing it responsibly and properly. This is our third exhibition, where people can come together to appreciate cars, bikes, and other automotive works. It’s about showcasing the best Lagos has to offer in terms of automotive excellence.”
