Chery Overseas Investment Corporation has made a record sale of over 400,000 units of vehicles overseas in 2022, with progress in many countries and regions.
In a statement made available to The Guardian, Senior Sales Manager, Chery Overseas Investment Corp., Jason Han, said from going global, developing deeply to building brand image, Chery has been exploring the innovative practice of Chinese auto brands going global. He said launching sports marketing activities globally could attach great advantages to Chery’s growth in the global market.

According to him, Chery has long been involved in the field of football, and it has been the sponsor of Ghana national football team in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

He said in addition to the World Cup, Chery also participated in top regional competitions such as the Africa Cup of Nations and Copa America. Chery is also widely involved in various types of sports events globally, such as ice hockey, marathon, badminton, and motor racing.

Meanwhile, he said in the southern hemisphere, in yacht clubs located in Paraguay or somewhere else in South America, Chery is further deepening the understanding and cognition between itself and clients through various sports interactive games. South America is a significant strategic market for Chery. In Brazil, Chery is ever-growing, and its flagship model TIGGO 8 is used as the vehicle for the president.

According to him, during the Jeddah Half Marathon organised by the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA), Chery as the only official vehicle sponsor, not only provided SFA with TIGGO 7 PRO and TIGGO 8 PRO for official use of the event, it also conveyed the brand concept of green and technology via a series of activities, thus prompting the public to develop a green and healthy lifestyle.

He said as Chery’s strategic market of great significance, Saudi Arabia is entrusted with the responsibility of branding the entire Middle East market. Chery has been actively promoting falconry culture and to protect falcons and ecological environment through its participation at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition in Saudi Arabia.

While in Qatar, he said Chery successfully sponsored a charity bike-riding event to raise money for Palestinians who were in need of help. These events, just like the sponsorship for marathon, demonstrated Chery’s commitment to promoting its positive and environment-friendly brand image to local clients.
