Keystone Bank Limited has entered into a partnership with Kewalram Nigeria Limited to expand access to vehicle financing for individuals and businesses, as the lender seeks to strengthen its retail and SME lending portfolio.
In a statement, the bank said the collaboration would provide financing for a range of vehicles distributed by Kewalram, including Soueast, Foton and Isuzu brands, as well as electric, hybrid and conventional vehicles.
According to the bank, customers will be able to access financing for both walk-in and pre-ordered vehicle purchases. The arrangement also includes negotiated discounts of up to 15 per cent on eligible vehicles, which the bank said would help reduce the overall cost of borrowing and improve affordability.
Speaking at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Keystone Bank’s Group Head, Retail and Digital Banking, Olayemi Sule, said the partnership aligns with the bank’s strategy of making asset acquisition more accessible.
“By combining flexible auto financing with negotiated vehicle discounts, we are creating a proposition that improves affordability while supporting the mobility and business needs of individuals and enterprises.
“The retail market remains a critical focus for the bank, and this partnership underscores our strategic commitment to expanding access to consumer and SME financing, fostering sustainable mobility and strengthening collaborations that deliver tangible value to customers.”
The bank said it expects the partnership to increase demand for its consumer auto loan products, support customer acquisition and retention, create cross-selling opportunities and strengthen awareness of its retail lending offerings.
The MoU signing was attended by several Keystone Bank executives, including Helen Maiyegun, Directorate Head, Lagos & West; Gani Adebayo, Directorate Head, Lagos Mainland; Izore Lami Bamawo, Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communication; Olabimpe Onasanya, Group Head, Corporate Finance; Michael Batan, Group Head, Corporate Support; Alao Ayodeji, Group Head, Financial Institutions; Dr Akinyemi Euba, Regional Head, Victoria Island; Francis Madukwe, Regional Head, Apapa; and Bolajoko Agunlejika, Department Head, Retail Products.
