A non-governmental organisation, Bunmi Adedayo Foundation (BAF), has rewarded top 30 primary schools among 216 schools that participated in the Tech Relevant Teacher Project (TRTP) in Lagos State.

The Tech Relevant Teacher (TRT) project is an initiative of BAF designed to train 200 low-cost and middle schools in virtual teaching skills and technologies.

It was also aimed at introducing virtual teaching in schools that do not have the resources and skills to do so by supporting them with hardware and software resources. The TRT initiative is a four-month project that started in February.

According to Mrs. Oluyemisi Adedayo, widow of Bunmi Adedayo, and member, Board of Director of the foundation, the organisation is ready for collaboration with others to achieve the needed change in the sector, adding, “all we need is a willing population like the 216 TRTP trained schools and the top 30 that we empowered. We are willing to do more.”

Mrs. Adedayo lauded the participants and beneficiaries for their cooperation and readiness to learn.

She also expressed appreciation to the various brands and organisations that sponsored the project for the support shown to BAF in its quest to uplift the educational sector.
