Foundations reward outstanding students
To commemorate Gateway ICT Polytechnic’s 5th convocation ceremony, the Daramola Dynasty Foundation (DDF), in collaboration with Whitefield Foundation, has taken a significant step to honour academic excellence by supporting the institution’s top-performing graduates.
As part of this initiative, 10 laptops were presented to the best graduating students across 10 departments, including Business Administration, Accountancy, Public Administration, Estate Management and Valuation, and Mass Communication.
This generous gesture is designed to bridge the digital divide and equip these outstanding graduates with essential tools to kick start their professional journeys in today’s technology-driven world.
In a statement, Founder, Daramola Dynasty Foundation, Engineer Olanrewaju Daramola, said: “This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting future leaders by providing them with the resources they need to excel in a technology-driven world.
“At Daramola Dynasty Foundation, we believe in celebrating academic excellence and empowering young people to achieve their full potential. These laptops are not just gifts; they are tools to help these brilliant students shape a brighter future for themselves and our nation.
“The integration of technology into their post-academic journeys sets these graduates up for success in the ever-evolving future of work. With the rise of remote work, digital collaboration, and global connectivity, having access to reliable technology ensures they can stay competitive, innovative, and adaptable in their chosen fields.
“This initiative not only rewards their hard work but also prepares them to make meaningful contributions in a rapidly changing world.”
Among the recipients were Agu Theresa Ifunanaya (Business Administration), Yusuf Suliat Oladayo (Business Administration), and Omontuhen Victor Monday (Estate Management and Valuation), all of whom graduated with distinction.
Representatives of both foundations were present at the convocation ceremony to celebrate the awardees.
