FOMWAN commiserates with Sanwo-Olu over train accident

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) commiserates with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the people of Lagos over the train accident that left six persons dead and many injured.

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) commiserates with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the people of Lagos over the train accident that left six persons dead and many injured.

Speaking during the group’s visit to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), FOMWAN National Ameerah, Alhaja Rofiah Idowu Sanni, condoled with the victims and the bereaved families, urging them to see the accident as an occurrence destined to happen.

Led by FOMWAN, Lagos State, Naibah Amirah, Alhaja Olanipekun Amudat, the team commended Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his prompt response which lessened the number of casualties.

“We sincerely sympathies with the victims, their families, and the Lagos State government, FOMWAN share your pains at this trying moment. May Almighty Allah heal and restore the good health of all the victims,” she said.

Lagos State FOMWAN, Amirah, Alhaja Sherifah Ajagbe, expressed her condolences and prayed that Allah grants the injured ones speedy recovery and total healing.

The team, also,met the Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi and the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Professor Adetokunbo Fabamwo.

Prof. Abayomi, commended FOMWAN for its kind gesture and support. The group donated 20 packs of bottled water to victims.
