Women enjoined to focus on training children at Nasfat, Fathu Qareeb event

Women have been urged to channel their energy and time towards the proper upbringing of their children instead of unduly focusing on careers.

This charge was given by the woman leader of Fathu Qareeb Islamic society Alhaja Sekinat Shodunke during an event organised in conjunction with Nasrul Fathi Society in Lagos.

Alhaja Shodunke spoke on the different challenges confronting Muslim women, particularly on different forms of molestation, use of hijab at public places, security, poverty, health challenges, families, home management and stress.

She advised women to create time for their children and show them love in order to discourage them from going into drugs.

She expressed worry over the increasing rate of drug abuse among youths and said every woman should be more alive to her responsibilities of instilling discipline in their children, proper guidance mentoring and adequate care for the children.

“We’ve got reputable scholars on the ground that will educate, shed light on issues affecting the home front, carriers, managing home, personal self, raising Good children and teaching them the doctrines of Allah, how to take care of their husband and all that bothers women in general,” she said

In her concluding remark, she stated that every woman should be guided by Islamic faith, doctrine and teaching to help them in their various homes and families.
