The Chairman, Ojodu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Olusegun Odumbaku has embarked on improvement of infrastructure within the council area, one of which is the reconstruction of Primary Health Centres (PHC) across the council.
The health centres located in Apata, Akiode, Powerline and Gbadamosi areas of the council had been in deplorable conditions with lack of required medical equipment.
However, as a way of ensuring the people of the council have access to quality health care, the chairman awarded a contract for the reconstruction of the health centres which after completion are now wearing a new look and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
To address the issue of flooding, the chairman also commenced construction of drainage at Bakare Street in Akiode community so as to improve water flow and prevent flooding.
The construction is currently at the casting of reinforced invert concrete stage and is due to be completed soon while rehabilitation work is also ongoing on some roads within the council.
Other ongoing construction includes the renovation of administrative blocks within the council premises as a way of giving the council a befitting look.
It is recalled that this year, Olusegun Odumbaku distributed 250 GCE forms free to qualified candidates. reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment under the HEYSRELOADED agenda.
