***PISTIS Foundation delivers 17,416 free medical interventions through its flagship medical program, UBOMI, in 2025.

The Pistis Foundation has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved communities through its flagship medical and surgical outreach, UBOMI.

This year’s outreaches were expected to deliver a whopping 10,000 medical interventions for 5,000 underserved and economically challenged beneficiaries at no cost. The just-concluded outreach, which was the eighth edition and the third this year, brought the total number of medical interventions to 17,416 for 5,635 beneficiaries, surpassing the target for 2025.

“UBOMI has been a blessing to many more lives being impacted this year through the PISTIS Foundation, which continues to move forward”, said Godman Akinlabi, Global Lead Pastor of the Elevation Church and Board Chair, Pistis Foundation. He thanked all partners and encouraged them to continue to support the initiative.

Also speaking on the success of the initiative, Leonard F. Thomas, Executive Director of Pistis Foundation, said: “UBOMI 8.0 reflects what is possible when compassion meets collaboration. Each number represents a person whose life has been touched, healed, and given a new story. We are deeply grateful to all our partners, sponsors, and volunteers for making this possible.”

The just concluded outreach, which ran for five days at the Pistis Annex and Hospital for Trauma & Surgery (HTS) Clinics, both at Remi Olowude Street, Lekki, Lagos, delivered a total of 9,212 medical interventions to 3,667 beneficiaries, offering critical and life-changing care — completely free of charge. This edition was executed in partnership with Pro-Health International, which served as the Technical Partner, providing medical expertise and coordinating medical volunteers, as well as the Hospital for Trauma & Surgery (HTS) Clinics, which served as hospital partners.

Head of Programmes & Partnerships Engagement – Lois Isemede – reported that among the interventions were 121 surgeries, including 103 eye surgeries, 1,513 dental procedures, and 897 eye care treatments, with 359 eyeglasses dispensed. Over 1,807 consultations were conducted by a dedicated team of more than 130 medical volunteers and 150 non-medical volunteers, who worked tirelessly to restore hope and health to those in need.

The UBOMI Medical and Surgical Outreach, now in its eighth edition, continues to grow in scale and impact, standing as a testament to the power of collective action in transforming communities. For Pistis Foundation, UBOMI is not just an outreach — it’s a movement toward a healthier, more inclusive society.
