Adebule recalled that while receiving the 2017 team, she told the students and their teachers that she was not comfortable with the second overall best position and charged them to redouble their efforts.

“My joy knows no bound that you took the challenge seriously and have delivered the star trophy” I congratulate you and wish all of you the best as a group and as individual students.

The National JETS competition is an annual event aimed at popularising the teaching and learning of science and technology in schools and to expose the young talented and intelligent scientists and technologists to the world beyond their locality.

The competition involved all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The students who represented the state at the event were from both the private and public schools.

The theme of this year’s competition was “Alternative source of energy for national development” which was organised by the Federal Ministry of Education in collaboration with all the state ministries of education and the FCT.
