We must begin to talk of those values that can elevate, unite, and make us to have a society that is better than what we have now. Years ago, we talked about integrity. If we don’t promote those values, we cannot have a good society.
“If we celebrate those who defraud, steal, and on the EFCC radar by giving them titles in churches, mosques, and in society, then we are saying there is nothing wrong with stealing and other bad behaviour.
“We need our media to re-orientate us to begin a paradigm shift in our thought processes.” On her part, Bademosi explained that the media outfit was resolute about what God wanted it to do. The media proprietor disclosed that the station was given a specific mandate to promote wholesome values that would build homes, families and society. She stated that through wholesome content, the media could change the world, adding that, “This is what we are doing.”
She stated further: “This is a radio station for the entire family; there is no obscene word, and language, and nothing that will not edify the entire family.
“The station is meant to bring hope, encouragement and reconciliation to the people and to reach the entire world. Our core values are excellence, team work, professionalism, creativity and Godliness.
“It is not about replicating what others are doing. We were given a specific mandate to bring wholesome messages to the broken world. With the right message, we can curb broken marriages; prevent children going into internet frauds, joblessness, and suicidal mission. We can change our world.” On his part, Olanrewaju stressed that without celebrating the right values; there would not be development in the country.
The media aide said: “We don’t celebrate the right values. We don’t celebrate hard work, honesty and dignity of labour. That is why our nation has been on this trend. There won’t be any development unless we celebrate the right values. Wellsradio has been on the right path. I celebrate this media outfit.”
