Voice of Nigeria, Globacom partner on telling authentic Nigerian stories, preserving corporate history

As part of efforts aimed at telling the true narrative about the country and preserving corporate history, Voice of Nigeria (VON), and Globacom Limited have agreed to partner for sustainable growth.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to Globacom office in Lagos, VON Director General, Jibrin Baba Ndace, noted Glo was noted for many firsts in the areas of providing per seconds billing, advanced technology for voice, and data in a sustenance growth and development of the digital economy system.”

Ndace reaffirmed VON’s mandate to tell the Nigerian and African story to the world, emphasising the crucial role of language in effective storytelling. He noted that VON operates in eight languages—English, French, Kiswahili, Fulfude, Arabic, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba—to reach diverse audiences.

Speaking further, he stated that the proposed collaboration would enable VON to document and disseminate Globacom’s success stories, thereby preserving corporate history and highlighting positive developments

Reacting to the menace of fake news, misinformation and disinformation in relation to service providers, he argued it’s a thing everybody needs to look at and for those saddled with the responsibilities, we have been able to assist with our own services in terms of connectivity as a technology provider.
