Meet Erika ‘PR Diva’ Enyolu: PR guru, entrepreneur & philanthropist
Erika “PRDiva” Enyolu was born on October 1st, 1985 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She is an entrepreneur, events planner, producer and the CEO & Founder of PR Diva Communications, an Entertainment and Lifestyle Public Relations agency based in Toronto, Canada. She is the Co-Founder of When Fashion Meets, an International Fashion Networking and Brand Launch Event Platform. She is also the Managing Partner/Head of PR and Media Relations for African Fashion Week Toronto, Canada’s largest mainstream marketing platform for Afro-inspired brands.
Erika had her post-secondary education for 4 years in the city of Windsor, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Windsor in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications & Media Studies. After graduating, she relocated back to Toronto where she did an internship with a local hit radio station Flow 93.5 FM, in their Marketing and Promotions department. That was when her budding love for the music and entertainment industry grew stronger. Soon after her internship, she landed a full-time position at Canada’s top broadcasting television network’s CTV, in the Corporate Finance department anrole she held for 4 years. After leaving CTV, she ventured off to start freelancing in the entertainment sector as a Background Actress and Red-Carpet Celebrity Assistant for some of the biggest movie/TV productions and notable North American based award shows including: The NAACP Image Awards, Juno Awards, and Canada’s Walk of Fame. During that time, she had the privilege to work one on one with A-list celebrities and high-profile dignitaries.
After a few years of freelancing, she landed a leadership role as a Marketing Manager in 2013 for a division of one of the leading engineering and construction company’s in the world SNC Lavalin. At SNC she oversaw their annual marketing budget and event strategy for some of the commercial properties in their portfolio. After 1 year in that role she decided to take a leap of faith and quit her corporate managerial position to launch her own company.
In late 2014, she founded PR Diva Communications and has since focussed on building strategic, quality public relations and marketing campaigns for her start up and big name clients. From A-list celebrities, musicians, actors, actresses, athletes, fashion designers, she’s had the pleasure of working with the world’s biggest names in entertainment & lifestyle.
Erika better known as ‘PR Diva’ was the recipient of The Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada in 2016, PR in Canada’s 2015 Top 30 under 30 and 2 time nominee for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards. Erika lives in Toronto, Canada and is currently in the process of scaling her business to accommodate the number of new virtual clients she’s met, due to her growth and popularity on the Billion dollar valuated audio-only app Clubhouse.
The PR Diva’s ambitious nature and go-getter attitude has opened many doors for her. She’s been privileged to speak on various platforms about her entrepreneurial journey and how she’s overcome adversity being a Black woman in business and breaking down barriers.
Erika’s mission is to inspire, motivate and empower others especially women to follow their dreams while putting their health & wellness first. Her determination to succeed, perseverance, and strong faith has proven to pay off tremendously!
