Mouka is ‘manufacturing company of the year’
The event, organised by The Guardian, in partnership with Africa Development Studies Centre (ASDC), is to recognise distinguished sector players in the manufacturing industry in Nigeria
Publisher of The Guardian, Lady Maiden Alex-Ibru, said the award was designed to recognise distinguished sector players in the manufacturing industry, who have consistently outperformed in spite of prevailing economic conditions in the country.
She said Nigeria’s manufacturing sector has been bedeviled with a number of challenges in recent times but that in spite of these challenges, some manufacturing companies have continued to deliver high quality products.
Responding to the award, the Managing Director Mr. Raymond Murphy said the name, Mouka, is synonymous with top quality. He said the award is a confirmation of Mouka’s dedication and commitment to quality over the years.
Murphy added that the company has an extensive distribution network across the country with more than 1000 branded sales outlets, and over 250 third party distributors, He added that Mouka has production facility in the South West, South East and the Norther part of the country.
Technical Director, Mr. Emmanuel Eze, also mentioned that Mouka has put in place Best manufacturing practices and standards to ensure consistent quality of all Mouka brands.
He said the company has implemented Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in all his manufacturing plants. Eze added that the company is also successfully implementing ISO audits of all its plants by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria.
Marketing Director, Mrs. Ronke Osho, said the award is another recognition of the company’s commitment and passion to add comfort to the lives of Nigerians by providing high quality of mattress and pillows that offer superior body support and comfort.

You will recall that this is the third award for Mouka this year following recognition by the London Stock Exchange as a “Company to Inspire Africa” which showcase the most dynamic private, high growth companies in the continent and the ‘Mattress Brand of the Year’ by the African Brand Congress.
