NAPS fault Ilaro poly management over hike in tuition

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has decried increase in school fees at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, for the 2022/2023 academic session and urged the management of the school to revert the decision.

NAPS Vice President, Iwalokun Lawrence, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, lamented that the increase is coming at a time when the country’s developmental indices and figures are not friendly, a country with a very high unemployment rate, inflation rate and exchange rate.

He said: ‘’The hike in school fees has not showcased the Federal Government’s responsiveness towards promoting inclusive education; even in government-owned institution.

“To increase school fees and house rent in this era of financial instability is unfair, it is so disheartening to all polytechnic students and we urge the management to have a rethink.”
