Redeemer’s varsity registrar emerges ARNU spokesperson


The Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU) has elected Mr Olukayode Akindele, Registrar, Redeemer’s University as its Public Relations Officer during its annual general meeting held in Abuja.

Akindele, who was Chief Communications Officer, Ondo State Agricultural Development Programme, Akure between 1993 and 1996, emerged among his peers as spokesperson for the association.

He is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife, Osun State, where he obtained a degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology in 1988. He also holds a Master degree in Environmental Management from Ekiti State


Akindele started his working career at the World Bank Assisted programme in Ondo State Agricultural Development Project, from 1990-1996 and later Ekiti State Agricultural Development Programme, Ikole-Ekiti between 1996 and 1998.

He also worked with the Leventis Foundation Nigeria Agricultural School, Ilesha, Osun State in 1998 and thereafter had a brief stay with Petroleum Trust Fund (Special) Rural Water Supply Programme till 2000.

Before joining Redeemer’s University he had served in various capacities in the Registry of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti and Wesley University, Ondo from 2001 to 2018.

He has participated in several training programmes on best practices in university administration within and outside Nigeria, either as speaker or participant.
