AFRIMA’s vice president passes on
IT’s a sad time for the entire African music ecosystem as Vice President, All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), Mrs Modupe Temitope Dada kicks the bucket at age 48.
The accomplished banking and entertainment executive drew her last breaths surrounded by her family, on Saturday, at Duchess Hospital in Lagos’ capital city, Ikeja, following a brief sickness.
In a statement issued from the AFRIMA’s Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, AFRIMA’s President, Mr. Mike Dada, mourned his wife, describing the late visionary as a believer in family values, community service, and inclusivity.

“She had the gift of compassion, and a love for God and Africa. A true and loving wife and mother indeed! She lived all her life in the banking and entertainment industry and brought us the affection and compassion that we have come to love so much.
“She was a loving wife, mother and friend, who always put family and Africa first. Her passing has left a void that will be impossible to fill. The family submits to the will of the Almighty God and asks for the prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time.”

According to the burial arrangements announced by the family, a Service of Songs will be held by 5.00 pm (WAT) on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Grace Assembly, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
A Farewell service, which would be live-streamed on AFRIMA’s social media channels, is also scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10.00 am (WAT) at the same venue, while a private interment follows immediately.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Mr Dada, two children and several relatives.
