All Set For Gospel Groove Talent Quest
At a time when music breaks cultural, religious and language barriers and bias, Eezee Concepts Limited, is set for the maiden edition of gospel musical talent show for Christian creatives in Nigeria.
The talent show, named, Gospel Groove Talent Quest (#GGTQ2023), is themed ‘It’s all about the gospel’ and would run through July and August 2023.
GGTQ would empower individuals with required training, industry and ministry ethics for kingdom expansion. All with the facilitation of experts in the gospel music industry.
On the vision of the talent quest, Founder, Eezee Concepts Limited, Eezee Tee, speaking at a press briefing, stated that the show will groom selected participants into professionals in the industry. Adding that the label has since been in the business of identifying raw talents, nurturing and equipping them with the required skill, training and ethics of ministry.
He also said that the initiative is core to driving the narrative of ‘Mindustry’, which is a combination of ministry and industry. Stressing this point, he explained that, “industry is the platform for the expression of the call to God’s service, while ministry is the call to God’s service.”
Addressing the emigration of gospel acts to the secular world, the project manager of the talent show, Ben Ogbeiwi, stated that the platform seeks to counter such occurrences. ”Hence, the
project is developed for kingdom expansion so that participants will have no cause to deviate. When you come into this project, you will remain a Christian,” he said.
Also, participants will be judged according to talent, skill and character and will be rewarded in line with their progress, in the key areas. This, according to Eezee Tee, will bridge the gap of rivalry or competition that exists in the world of contests, where the winner gets all.
One of the facilitators, Ige Kachi, a voice coach, spoke on the expectations from the participants, saying “ we want to see how well they can represent God. We want to also see humility and a hunger for knowledge.”
Reverberating this point, Gospel Singer, Mike Abdul, said; “we expect excellence, we also want to see the zeal and have a visual- tactile sensation with each participant.”
The organisers also asserted that the project will nurture the participants to have a successful and sustainable gospel music career.
While speaking to the press about the mode of admission into the show, the organisers said, “The auditions have been extended to Saturday to enable interested participants, have a seamless registration process.
