August Alsina Hospitalised After Losing Ability To Walk
August Alsina had to cancel his performance at Essence Festival over the weekend due to health conditions.
The singer took to Instagram on Monday, July 8 to share the scary reason why:
“Here’s the stitch. I woke up one day and wasn’t able to walk. I couldn’t feel my legs and my doctor ended up admitting me into the hospital,” he explains in the clip from his hospital bed.
“We’re doing a bunch of tests and they’re saying I have some nerve damage going on throughout my body. It’s like my immune system went on vacation. So, I’m just waiting on it to come back and we can get together and it can do what it do, man.”
He stayed positive by joking around about his new “car,” a.k.a. his walker set up next to his hospital bed. In 2017, Alsina revealed he suffers from a severe autoimmune disease that attacks his liver.
Despite this situation, the singer explained that he still has some new music coming up for his fans.
