Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi and Procter & Gamble’s Country Manager East & Central Africa, Chidera Ibekwe, are among distinguished personalities expected to speak at this year’s Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA).

Themed, ‘Grow, give, glow: Building resilience for distinction’, WIMCA convener, Joshua Ajayi disclosed there would be conversations around resilience, mentorship and authentic leadership within the marketing and communications ecosystem.

He added the full-day programme would run alongside an exhibition, gala dinner and an awards ceremony, which will include WIMCA’s annual recognition of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications.

Other speakers at the event include, Dr Nkiru Olumide-Ojo of Standard Bank Group; Gloria Nwabuike of AACE Foods, Tolulope Medebem of Aster Integrated Marketing Limited, Funmi Osineye of Nestlé Nigeria and Bodam Taiwo of Diageo, Solape Akinpelu of Hervest, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria and Kenneth Iruonagbe of TGI Group.

Now in its 12th year, WIMCA has evolved into one of the largest gathering of female marketing and communications professionals in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Organisers are projecting a similar turnout for this year’s event, with senior executives, agency leaders, entrepreneurs, academics and rising professionals expected to attend.
