Former Big Brother Naija reality show star Francisca Owumi has passed away following a brief illness.
Owumi, who was the runner-up of the first edition of the BBNaija television show in 2006, died on August 29, 2024. Her family announced her death on social media, writing, “A daughter and sister. Make her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Known for her fierce dancing moves, Owumi was a housemate in the inaugural BBNaija season alongside the winner Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Maureen Osuji, and others.
After the show, Owumi briefly ventured into the Nigerian music scene with the singles “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
