Give Your Room A Stylish Touch With 3D Wallpapers

3D wallpapers have taken over the wall scene. Apart from the beauty it adds to your room, you can literally live in your dream location. The 3D wallpapers come in a variety of designs some of which can only be found in a figment of your imagination. Putting up your 3D wallpaper can be such a daunting project until you think of how it’d look when you are done.

Enthusiasts can learn to do it in these quick and easy steps.

What You Need

  • Clear wallpaper glue
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Paint roller
  • Ladder
  • Seam-roller (optional)
  • A friend or a partner (if it is so large that you can’t paste alone)

First things first, you need to make sure your hands are clean (you don’t want to mess up your wallpaper). Then, you can get to work.

  1. Use a sandpaper on your wall to achieve a smooth wall surface. If it is smooth but dirty, clean with a damp clean cloth.
  2. Measure the wall size you want to place the wallpaper on. Use a pencil or cellophane as a marker. Measure same on the wallpaper and cut out the excess.
  3. Climb the ladder if where you want to paste it is high. For adhesive wallpapers, peel off the back paper and paste.

Well done. Let the party begin *Cheers*

If it’s not an adhesive, take these next steps.

  1. Arrange your wallpaper on the floor so that you can get the right pattern. By now, you should have an idea of how you want the wallpaper to appear. If you don’t, not to worry. As you place it on the ground, your creative side will come to the rescue. Still not sure of your creativity, buy a wallpaper carrying the manufacturer’s instruction on how to paste it. And yes, you are allowed to use a painter’s tape to hold it until you are done arranging.
  2. Pour your clear wallpaper glue into a container big enough to get your paint roller in. Apply the clear glue on the back of the wallpaper.
  3. If your wall is high enough, you might want to use your ladder. You and your partner should stay on different ends and place the wallpaper on the wall moving it in a top-down fashion while straightening it with a plastic smoother (an 8-inch preferably) as you go. Ensure that the wallpaper does not overlap each other so that it can come off neat.

You are almost there.

  1. Use a damp sponge or damp clean cloth to wash off any spilt glue.

Voila! You can officially join the party.
