Muhammadu and Aisha Buhari Celebrate 30th Wedding Anniversary
Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari took to Twitter this morning to announce his 30th wedding anniversary to his wife, Aisha Buhari.
President Buhari’s anniversary wish is a bit formal and not romantic, maybe that is something we do not know about our President. He is probably the definition of “hard guy”.

Aisha Buhari is the second wife of President Buhari, they got married in 1989 which makes today the 30th year of their marriage.
President Buhari and Aisha Buhari procreated and grew their family with five children. They also had a boy and five girls named: Aisha, Halima, Yusuf, Zahra, and Amina.
As stated earlier, Aisha Buhari is the second wife of President Buhari, his first wife being Hajia Safinatu Buhari. Safinatu and President Buhari married in 1971.
Their marriage was blessed with four daughters named Zulaiha Magajiya, Fatima, Hadizatu Nana, and Safinatu Lami and a son, Musa who is now deceased, he died from sickle cell anaemia.
In November 2012, Buhari’s first daughter, Zulaihat (née Buhari) Junaid died from sickle cell anaemia, two days after having a baby at a hospital in Kaduna
Safinatu was not known to many Nigerians because she lived her life free from the limelight for religious and cultural reasons.
After Buhari was released from jail, he divorced Safinatu for receiving financial aid from Ibrahim Babangida while in jail and in 1989, he got married to Aisha Buhari. On 14 January 2006, Safinatu Buhari, the former first lady, died from complications of diabetes.
Recently, there have been rumours about the marriage with Aisha Buhari being rocky, however, there are no solid proofs to back this up.
