Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, now holds the record for the highest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria with his new single With You featuring Omah Lay.

The track, which is one of the lead singles off his latest album “5ive”, pulled 4.98 million streams in its debut week.

The record beats his previous top performer “Funds” featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike.

The new milestone was recorded one week after “With You” climbed to number one on the TurnTable Top 100 chart, making Davido the only Nigerian artiste to score a chart-topper every year for six years straight.

According to Charts Data, “With You” now holds the record for the most-streamed debut week for a Nigerian song.

The hit has become Davido’s 11th number one on the TurnTable chart, following earlier hits like “FEM” in 2020.

So far, three tracks from the 5ive album have topped the charts, “Awuke”, “Funds”, and “With You”.

Meanwhile, the 5-time Grammy nominee has announced dates for his 5 Alive tour, which will see him perform across the UK, US, and Canada.

He will headline a concert at the 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, alongside 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.

Other tour stops include Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Place Bell in Montreal, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and Barclays Center in Texas.

Davido is expected to perform songs from 5ive and other popular hits from his career.
