American music and entertainment magazine, Billboard, has unveiled its first-ever ranking of the 50 Greatest Afrobeats Songs of All Time.

Released on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the list honours songs that defined Afrobeats and carried the sound beyond Africa to global stages.

Topping the chart is 2Baba’s timeless ballad African Queen, followed by Wizkid’s Ojuelegba, Flavour’s Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix), Wizkid and Tems’ Essence, and Rema’s record-breaking Calm Down.

Billboard noted that selections were made based on cultural impact, influence, reach, and commercial success.
