Nigerian singer, Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, has reassured fans of his safety after reports that he was stabbed and robbed in Lagos on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old artiste, who rose to fame with the hit song Shoki, took to his Instagram story on Thursday to thank supporters and confirm that he is recovering.
He wrote: “Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers.”
The statement comes a day after reports claimed the singer was attacked by assailants who allegedly dispossessed him of jewellery worth millions of naira during the incident.
While the Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official comment, the update from the singer has eased fears among fans and industry colleagues who had flooded social media with prayers since the news broke.
Lil Kesh, who has worked with acts like Olamide, Davido and Wizkid, currently boasts of 810,379 monthly listeners on Spotify.
