Nigerian fast-rising singer, Satumari Godfrey Chaie, popularly known as TOOLZ, has released a new single titled Talking to Myself, a song that captures his personal journey and struggles.

The 24-year-old artist from Obalende, Lagos, said the track is about self-reflection and staying focused on his goals despite life’s challenges. “The song reminds me of my journey, my past, my present, and even my future,” he said.

TOOLZ explained that his environment and experiences growing up in a tough part of Lagos inspired the single. “I was born into chaos, violence, and hustle. Music became my way to express myself and make sense of it all,” he added.

Known for his versatility, TOOLZ blends Afrobeats, Afrohouse, and Amapiano sounds in his music. He revealed that the new single also carries a message of hope, resilience, and faith in God.

The singer said Talking to Myself is not just about him but also about young people who come from similar backgrounds. “I want them to know they can make a difference, no matter where they come from,” he said.

TOOLZ described the release as another important step in his career, adding that each song he makes brings him closer to his dream of inspiring lives through music.
