New Research Reveals The Healthiest Nut To Consume As You Age
You might want to think about munching on a few nuts whenever you feel a bit hungry if you’ve been seeking for a nutritious snack.
Nuts have been discovered to be among the healthiest snack foods available since they are packed with beneficial fats. Of course, you could always grab a few almonds or cashews when you’re hungry, but you might want to eat some walnuts because a recent study discovered that they’re an excellent choice for keeping you healthy as you age.
3,023 participants between the ages of 18 and 30 were involved in the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults Study, which was published in Nutrition, Metabolism, & Cardiovascular Diseases. Participants were initially questioned about their eating habits at the beginning of the study, as well as after seven years and 20 years.
In particular, it was discovered that those engaged consumed three-quarters of an ounce of walnuts on average every day. Additionally, participants completed examinations over a 30-year period that recorded their clinical and physical parameters.
When the researchers later examined the participants long-term health, they discovered that those who frequently ate walnuts from a young age kept up a better diet, engaged in more physical activity, and were less likely to be at risk of heart disease as they aged.
