People Magazine Names Michael B Jordan The Sexiest Man Alive In 2020
Black Panther star Michael B Jordan has been named the sexiest man alive for the year 2020.
He becomes the third black actor in a row to lay claim to the coveted title.
The Creed actor who graces the cover of the latest issue of the magazine spoke about the title that was announced Tuesday, the 33-year-old said the title gave him “a cool feeling.”
“It’s a good club to be part of. You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.’ But it’s a good club to be a part of.”
Jordan, known for his critically-acclaimed performances in “Fruitvale Station,” “Creed” and “Black Panther,” was revealed as this year’s winner Tuesday night on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
The actor appeared on the late-night talk show dressed in a yellow biohazard suit. He revealed his identity after removing his helmet, which had a smiley face. He said he learned about the honor during a call from his publicist while driving with a friend.
He also disclosed that the women in his family are “definitely proud of this one.” He credits his entire family for supporting him throughout the years.
“When my grandmother was alive, it was something that she collected, and then my mom naturally reads it a lot and my aunts as well,” Jordan said. “This is one that they’re definitely going to have a special place for.”
Other recent winners include John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Channing Tatum and David Beckham.
He was also recently included in Time Magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
Jordan won the heart of millions of film lovers across the globe with his character of Erik Killomnger in the 2018 MCU film Black Panther,
He will next be seen in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse where he plays John Clark, a US Navy Seal. The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
