Beats By Jayy rose from being an underground Hip-Hop producer to a mainstream producer working with several Nigerian music stars, including MI Abaga, Blaqbonez, Loose Kaynon and AQ. He also produced songs for the likes of iLLBliss and was the major producer on Cheque’s debut album, Bravo.
Celebrities including MI and Blaqbonez have taken to social media to express their grief. MI shared an image of the family’s statement.
Blaqbonez wrote: “this one hurt so much, got the news yesterday and still had to go and perform a song you produced, but at every show, we would rave to Okwaraji, so even though you’re gone, your work would Live on forever. RIP BEATS BY JAYY.”
Some of the songs Beats By Jayy produced include:
1. Martell Cypher 1&2
2. 5 songs on Sex Over Love and already produced 2 songs for my next album.
3. 3 songs on Cheque’s Bravo album. Almost every song on every AQ album.
4. Judah Ep for MI
