Early Life and Education
Apostle Dr. Michael Ejeata Cassidy – The Presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Family Churches – Top Faith Ministry Inc. was born on July 20th, 1976, at the Mariere Memorial General Hospital, Ughelli, Delta State, to the family of Olorogun High Chief Alfred E. Binite- Cassidy and Olorogun Chief, Dcns. Mrs. Patience B. Cassidy. He attend the execptional Ughelli Nursery School and went on to attend his primary education at Saint Peter and Paul Primary School in Ughelli. In these times the Cassidy’s, Ibru’s and Edewor’s and several others were the most prosperous. He was an academically gifted boy, very winsome amongst – He has been loved by many . Together, they often acted in children’s dramas at the uIpassionate preaching of the gospel by the female English teacher that he got born again, and he preached his first sermon in 1987. He had his secondary education at the Government College, Ughelli, and went on to complete his university education at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he studied petroleum engineering. As one with strong love for academics, he proceeded to Vrije University Amsterdam, where he had his master’s degree in science, business, and innovation. He has other certifications in project management and clinical psychology. He had this theological training from the Foundation Faith Bible Institute Presided by Arch Bishop Sam Amaga. He had his doctorate degree with the Keystone Project Discipleship Training Institute in the United States of America.
Spiritual Growth and Dedication
Following his conversion, he became a member of the Church of God Mission, where he grew his faith in Jesus Christ while serving in Warri and Ughelli. On March 1st, he had an indelible encounter with the Holy spirit, which tangibly reaffirmed God’s love for him, and this sparked an intimacy and revival fire in him for the Lord. As his love walk for the Lord deepened, he championed evangelical missions across several communities in Delta State that were accompanied with miracles, signs, and wonders. He served as a member of the choir and eventually became the head of the choir at the Church of God Mission in Ughelli.
Call to Ministry
In 1995, he gained admission to the University of Port Harcourt to study petroleum engineering. While in school, he joined the Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students, NIFES, where he served diligently. He was called by the Lord into full-time Ministry with the Isaiah 58:12 mandate. And this calling led to the birth of the Basic Student Christian Fellowship, and the General Year One Fellowship, a campus-focused Ministry that extended to other institutions, such as the River State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, University of Ghana, Ligon, and University of Science Technology, Kulebu, Ghana and the founding pastor of Glorious Faith Christian Centre, which the Lord asked him to close down for a global assignment He has for him.
Global Expansion
In 2001, through the guidance of the Holy spirit, the Lighthouse Family Church, also known as the TopFaith Ministries Incorporated, was birthed, of which he is the presiding bishop. Since then, it has expanded globally to Ghana, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Netherlands, South Africa, Kenya, India, Helsinki, UAE, Norway, and many more to come as Christ tarries. The Ministry continues to record resounding testimonies of changed lives through the word of faith. He is happily married, and the union is blessed with two children. He is a televangelist of your day at the top television program with Silverbed Television and Radio Rivers 99.1 FM, including an online podcast of Prophecy Unchained and the Prophetic Prayer Chain. He is the President of the Harvest Bible Institute. He’s a Philanthropist per excellence, offering scholarships to students across board and caring for in deed widows. He’s a member of the Netherlands New Energy Coalition, a CEO of the Aurora Shield Limited an agro-based business.
He’s an Executive member of multitech group of companies. He is also an author whose books are a source of blessing to many, some of which are Don’t Run, Intimate One Devotional, Songs of the Heart Plus, 21 Reasons Why Virgins are blessed. In this journey of faith of Apostle Dr. Michael E. Cassidy, men and women who played key roles, and to mention a few are Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory, who was his spiritual father, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Elder Onovae, Brother Okome, Professor Samuel Iboge, Reverend Dr Chris Tunde Jorda, Professor Philip Okerentugba, Reverend Dr Steve Ogan, Professor Amasiotu, Apostle Ernest Uzoho, Princess Esther Odeheri, Pastor TB Peters, Mama Angela Ashong, Pastor E.A Adeboye and His Spiritual Father Arch Bishop Sam Amaga.
Like Moses in scripture, at 120, your eyes will not grow dim, neither will your natural force abate.
