Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have announced their separation after 7 years of marriage. The couple made the announcement in separate Instagram posts on September 18, 2023.

“AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while,” Taylor wrote in a post on Instagram. “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”

Taylor and Shumpert began dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2015. They were married in October 2016 and have two daughters together, Junie (7) and Rue (2).

The couple has always been open about their relationship, and their separation news comes as a shock to many fans. However, Taylor and Shumpert have assured their fans that they remain close friends and co-parents.

In a statement to E! News, Taylor said, “We are both committed to raising our daughters in a loving and supportive environment. We ask for privacy during this time of transition.”
