Cancer Prevention

Grapes are well known for the presence of antioxidants called polyphenols. These antioxidants have anti-inflammatory properties that are known to prevent swellings. Red grapes also contain specific polyphenols known as resveratrol. They are found on the skin of red grapes and studies have shown that they prevent they can slow down or prevent the growth of tumours.

Maintaining Blood Pressure

Balancing potassium and sodium levels in the body influences blood pressure in numerous ways. It is very easy to increase sodium content in the body because most of our foods contain substantial amounts of sodium which can be harmful to the body if its too much. Grapes have a high potassium content and do a good job of balancing the sodium content of the body.

Heart Health

The antioxidant properties mentioned earlier can also help reduce the risk cardiovascular disease. Grapes also contain fibres which go a long way in boosting general cardiovascular health and blood pressure.
