Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Lagos today to attend various functions in the state.

The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, welcomed him upon arrival.

Spokesman and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Stanley Nkwocha made this known on X.

“Vice President Kashim Shettima @officialSKSM has arrived in Lagos today to attend some functions in the state.

“The Vice President was received upon arrival by the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat @drobafemihamzat,” he wrote.

In another post, Nkwocha said Shettima had arrived for the wedding of the children of Senator Abdulrahman Olalekan and Alhaji Debo Oye, who are his long-term friends.

“The wedding, which is taking place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, is between Omobosola and Temitoye Abdulmajeed.

Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday for the United Kingdom, where he is taking a two-week vacation as part of his annual leave.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that Tinubu will use the time for a working vacation and to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
