Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as RudeBoy of the P-Square music group, has urged fans not to allow the glamour and online frenzy around Davido’s white wedding in Miami, United States, to put them under pressure.
The wedding between Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland, took place on Sunday and dominated social media, with pictures and videos trending across platforms.
Reacting in an Instagram story on Monday, RudeBoy wrote, “Miami is catching fire. No allow anybody pressure you ohh. Is a thin line between who you be and who your papa come be? Don’t let them put you under pressure. Your boyfriend or your man is very innocent ohh.”
In a follow-up post, he shared a smiling picture of the couple with the caption, “Congratulations!! To my people. Happy married life.”
The posts have generated reactions online, with some Nigerians interpreting them as a reminder to avoid comparing their lives to celebrity weddings.
Davido’s Miami celebration comes after the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024 and their court wedding in March 2023.
