Renowned Cameroonian football legend and President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, recently reunited with a former teammate who now works as a security guard during a visit to Douala.
The heartwarming encounter occurred while Eto’o was attending an Ecobank Group seminar in the city.
The reunion, captured in a viral video circulating on social media, shows Eto’o warmly greeting his old friend, whose name has not yet been revealed.
Eto’o, touched by the unexpected meeting, reportedly asked his assistant to schedule a proper meeting with the man, demonstrating his genuine affection for his former colleague. Though retired from football since 2019, Eto’o remains a prominent figure in sports.

The former striker is celebrated for his illustrious career, which included playing for top clubs such as Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea.
He clinched numerous trophies, including the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona and a treble with Inter Milan in 2010.
Eto’o’s success extends beyond the field, where he has built wealth through endorsements, real estate, and business ventures.
Once the highest-paid footballer globally, Eto’o’s generosity has also stood out over the years. In 2018, he provided a home for former Cameroon captain Norbert Owona, who was struggling financially.
