Kodak Black, also known as Bill Kahan Kapri,  has pleaded not guilty to four charges against him, of which includes possession of cocaine.  The “Angel Pt. 1” rapper was arrested in South Florida and pleaded not guilty to four charges, including improperly stopping his car, having cocaine, and tampering with evidence, according to records from Broward County.

After being arrested, Kapri posted bail and was released the next day. However, his lawyer, Bradford M. Cohen, has not responded to The Times’ request for comment.

This is not the first time the 26-year-old artist has encountered legal trouble. Last year, he was arrested on charges of trafficking oxycodone and having a controlled substance without a prescription. Despite a $75,000 bail and the condition of regular drug testing, Kapri faced more legal problems. In March, a judge ordered him into rehab after allegedly testing positive for fentanyl.

In June, a warrant was issued for his arrest when he missed a drug test, leading to house arrest in July. During a traffic stop by the Florida Highway Patrol, authorities allegedly found oxycodone tablets and a significant amount of cash in his SUV after smelling marijuana.

In the midst of his legal battles, Kapri’s lawyer revealed to XXL magazine that the rapper had been prescribed oxycodone by his doctor to manage chronic pain after being shot in the foot during a Super Bowl weekend party in Los Angeles.

Kodak Black’s legal history includes a notable commutation by former President Trump in 2021, who highlighted the rapper’s philanthropy and community contributions. Despite the ups and downs, Kapri continues to make headlines, recently pleading guilty to assaulting a teen in South Carolina, adding another chapter to his complex story of fame, legal challenges, and personal struggles.
