Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has said that Liam doesn’t look like his son.

Joseph Aloba stated this during an interview on Silverbird TV on Friday. Aloba expressed strong doubts about the child’s biological connection to the late artiste.

According to him, the child’s features do not bear any resemblance to his late son, a claim that has sparked conversations among fans and followers of the late singer.

When asked during the interview whether Liam looked like Mohbad, Aloba replied, “No, with what I am seeing, he’s not my grandson. As a father, they are supposed to bring the child to me.”

He further criticised the delay in conducting a DNA test, stating that it should have been done privately before the issue became a topic of public debate.

He said, “When I demanded DNA, they were supposed to say, ‘Daddy, go and do it at your convenient time. It has become public now. Let the court speak to that.’”

Aloba said that he would only accept Liam as his grandson if the DNA test results confirmed the child’s paternity.

He added that the family’s quest for justice should not be compromised, as every aspect of his late son’s life and legacy needed to be clear.

Aloba has been in the spotlight since his son’s untimely death, urging authorities to dig deeper into the events leading to Mohbad’s passing. Fans of the late singer, known for his hit tracks and unique Afrobeat sound, have also demanded transparency in the ongoing investigations.

Mohbad’s death has left many questions unanswered, from the controversies surrounding his relationship with his former record label to the events leading to his burial and subsequent exhumation.
