Woli Arole loses dad
Nigerian comedian Bayegun Oluwatoyin, popularly known as Woli Arole, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his father, Jimmy Bayegun.
Arole took to his Instagram page to share the sad news with his fans.
He posted a photo of himself and his late father, expressing his grief and reverence for the man he described as his “hero” and “role model.”

He wrote, “It has pleased the LORD to receive my FATHER in GLORY. It’s in total submission to the will of God to announce the demise of my Father, my HERO, and my ROLE MODEL,” he wrote. “I am happy I spent your last moments with you in JOY, PRAYERS, and FUN. Rest well Baba Jimmy. Happy you left a LEGACY and that LEGACY is ME!!!!!! I would miss you so MUCH!!!!!”
Jimmy Bayegun, a native of Ikare Akoko in Ondo State, was known not only as a father but also as a man of many achievements. Before retiring, he had carved a niche for himself as a sailor and had also been a Nigerian boxer during his younger years.
Arole, who has often celebrated his father publicly, shared in 2021 that he is the only child of the late Jimmy Bayegun.
Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers have flooded Arole’s social media page with messages of condolence and prayers.
