10 injured in Ajegunle gas explosion

A gas explosion occurred in Ajegunle, Olodi Apapa area of Lagos State on Tuesday evening which saw ten people injured.
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho in a statement said a “routine offloading of gas cylinders into a shop has sparked an explosion in Ajegunle, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.”

He said the explosion caused a fire, which also affected a total number of three shops and four tricycles.
According to the commissioner, ten people who got injured in the incident, have been hospitalized.

He added that emergency workers were at the scene to put out the fire and rescue the injured.
