Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, is working assiduously to complete ongoing projects, some of which would be inaugurated as his administration clocks 100 days in office, to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Deltans.
Speaking on a television programme, yesterday, Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), Charles Aniagwu, said these include numerous projects at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba; University of Delta, Agbor; Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro; High Court Complex, Asaba, among others, even as Warri is being cleaned up and more projects approved for construction in the area.
The commissioner said Delta is peaceful because Oborevwori has continued in the trajectory of equity and fairness in distribution of projects and appointments, with no ethnic group, senatorial district or class of individuals left behind.
Aniagwu, who was Commissioner for Information in the previous administration, welcomed the statement by the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, that states can now intervene on federal roads.
