No fewer than 100 people in Lagos, Enugu, Yola, Kano and Abuja, on Wednesday, won N1, 000,000 and N5, 000,000 apiece at the ongoing Dangote Cement Bag of Goodies Promo Season 3.

The winners, who ranged from businessmen, block moulders, labourers to contractors among others, expressed joy that the money better their lot in this period of economic downturn.

Speaking in Lagos, National Sales Director, Dangote Cement, Funmi Sanni, said the company has set aside N1 billion in cash and gifts for the promotion, which runs from July 5 to October 31, 2022.

Among the prizes won are: television sets, refrigerators, rechargeable fans and generators.

She observed that the gesture was in line with the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to cushion the economic effect rumbling the world.

Her words: “We are here to make millionaires and this is not from government. This is from Dangote Cement. The reason why we are doing this is to empower people to be able to fly financially and grow their businesses and also to say thank you for being our support.

“We know that when we produce cement and you refuse to buy, the stock will remain either in the distributor or retailer’s outlets. At some point, what that means is that we have to close shops, but because you have been supporting us year in and out, every time you have a need for cement, you choose Dangote, which is the reason why we are saying thank you in a big way.

“Dangote is the only brand that can promise and deliver. In this time and season, we all know what the economy of the country is saying, despite that we are doing this, this can only come from a company that truly cares about its customers. We are empowering people to grow their businesses because as they are growing, we are also growing. This is to ensure that everyone on the value chain is benefitting.

“When we promise, we deliver. This promo started in July. This is the fourth month into the promo, and we have made millionaires. What is happening right here is happening in five locations in Nigeria. It’s happening right now in Enugu, Kano, Yola and Abuja where we are giving out millions. In total, the lives Dangote is touching across the country today is about 100 people.”

These people will become richer by either N1 million or N5 million.”
