The statement read: “On Sunday, March 27 at about 1400hrs, a team of NDLEA operatives arrested one Bright Mbamara, aged 20 with 16 bags and a loose quantity of dried weed substance suspected to be cannabis sativa, weighing 219.650kg.
“He was found in his family compound of Umueli Amaraku, Ikeduru Local Council of Imo State.
“The suspect will soon be made to face the full wrath of the Law.”
The agency said the suspect and the exhibits are in the custody of the command in Owerri, undergoing investigation.
In his remark, the State Commander, NDLEA Imo State Command, Ruben Apeh, urged parents to look after their wards to avoid being lured by others to the unwanted path.
He lamented that a 20-year-old should ordinarily be in school and not in the ghettos selling hard drugs.
