Presidential aspirant, Dr. Elishama Rosemary Ideh believes Nigerians need of a leader who can combine integrity and intelligence to address the multifaceted problems plaguing the country.

Elishama who declared her interest for the plum job at a press conference in Abuja said it was unfortunate that the President Muhammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to live up to the expectations of Nigerians.

Elishama who is aspiring for the exalted seat on the platform of the opposition Alliance for a New Nigeria (ANN) referred to President Buhari’s inability to tackle the spate of insecurity in the country, youth unemployment, poverty and infrastructural decay to burress her claims.

She believes she has the wherewithal to correct the inadequacies of the President Buhari led administration.

According to her, “Nigeria needs a leader who, along with patriotic citizens wherever they may be, will stand at the Vanguard of an economic as well as an ethical revolution, along with a new sense of identity, citizenship and civic duty among our people. I believe with all my heart that I, Dr. Elishama Rosemary Ideh is that leader, ”

“I am a firm believer of the values, vision and mission of this great party, and I’m committed to the actualization of its ideology and its innovative roadmap for the regeneration of Nigeria and the creation of the material and social wealth that will secure the present welfare and future security of Nigerians living today and generations yet unborn.

“Like my companions in the ranks and file of the ANN, I stand for prosperity and for posterity. I stand for equity. And I stand for inclusion. In my Presidency, no Nigerian will be left out or left behind. Every Nigerian has a stake in the regeneration of our nation and will be made to feel a sense of belonging. ”

Elishama promised to reform the country’s revenue generation and allocation structure, including federal tax regimes if given opportunity as president of Nigeria.

“My administration is determined, from the very first day of our assumption of office, to work towards reducing the cost and simplifying the processes and procedures of doing business anywhere in Nigeria, so that local and foreign investors to thrive.
