2023: Osinbajo holds closed-door meeting with APC members in Anambra, Enugu
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, paid a scheduled visit to Anambra State in connection with his 2023 presidential ambition.
Osinbajo, who was in the state to seek the support of party members ahead of the primaries, arrived at Finotel Hotel, Awka, venue of the meeting, around 10:58a.m. He immediately walked into hall with his team.
Meanwhile, journalists who were waiting for his arrival were ordered to leave the hall before the meeting commenced. The meeting lasted for over two hours. The vice president, however, refused to talk with newsmen when he stepped out of the hall.
APC faithful who participated in the meeting also maintained sealed lips on the outcome. Osinbajo also held a closed-door meeting with delegates of the party in Enugu State, yesterday.
Sources said the meeting, which was held at the zonal office of the party at Independence Layout, discussed possible ways of integrating the youth in governance, appointments and overall infrastructural development of the state.
The source added that Osinbajo asked for the votes of the delegates, disclosing that he gave assurance that he has the capacity to “move the country forward having served as vice president.”
