2023: Umeh assures quality representation, projection of Igbo interest if elected
The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections, Victor Umeh, has promised his constituents of quality representation if elected in the coming general elections.
He assured to join other lawmakers from the South East to defend the region on issues concerning Ndigbo at the floor of the Senate.
Umeh, who was former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), made the promises, yesterday, at the inauguration of his 75-member Campaign Council in his campaign office, Awka.
He disclosed that members of his campaign council, led by Mr. Chukwudi Okeke, as the Director General, were selected from seven councils, including, Awka North, Awka South, Idemili North, Idemili South, Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia, all in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
He warned that the socio-political development of the South East would remain a mirage unless committed people like him, with vast experience, are given the opportunity to change the narrative.
