Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as running mate in 2027 presidential election.

Besides, Gov. Yusuf congratulated the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Shettima for the nomination, noting that his choice candidate remains a turning point in next year’s election.

Gov. Yusuf made the commendations when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President at the Aguda House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, Friday.

According to statement by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday, Governor Yusuf congratulated the Vice President over his nomination, describing it as a recognition of his commitment and service to the nation.

The Governor prayed that Allah grants President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima the wisdom, good health and success to pilot the affairs of the country even as they prepare for the 2027 general election.

Governor Yusuf was accompanied by the member representing Gwale Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Garba Diso; APC National Ex-Officio, Hon. Muhammad Jamu Yusuf; and the Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu as sought for divine peace and tranquility of the nation.

The Governor however reaffirmed firm support to President Tinubu’s administration and the Federal government’s efforts aimed at promoting unity, peace and sustainable development across Nigeria.
