36 reps dump APC for PDP, ADC

Thirty-six members of the House of Representatives have defected from Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Thirty-six members of the House of Representatives have defected from Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Thirty-two of the defected Honorable members joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while four joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Another representative Orker Jev resigned from the ruling party.

This is coming after 15 senators from the Nigerian Senate announced their defection from the APC, with 13 moving to the PDP and two to ADC.

While announcing their defection on Tuesday during plenary, the lawmakers cited division at all levels of the APC as the reason for their defection.

Among the defectors are Sani Rano, Barry Mpigi, Ali madaki, Dickson Tackighir, Hassan Saleh, Danburam Nuhu, Mark Gbilah, Razak Atunwa, Ahmed Garba Bichi, Abdulsamad Dasuk and Zakari Mohammed.
