57 to get first class at LASU’s convocation

A total of 14,369 students will graduate at the 23rd convocation ceremony of Lagos State University (LASU).

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, who disclosed this to journalists yesterday ahead of the institution’s convocation ceremony billed to commence on Friday, May 10, 2019, said of the total number of graduates, 57 are in the first class, 1,233 second class upper, 8,471 second class lower, 467 third class and 24 in the pass grade.

Fagbohun further stated that about 1,532 would be graduating in the post-graduate diploma courses, 520 in academic Masters, 1,994 professional Masters and 17 in Doctor of Philosophy.

Meanwhile, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is billed to deliver the convocation lecture on Thursday, May 16, 2019 while former Ghanaian President, John Damani Mahama, would chair the event.
